Brent Osborne, Managing Director,

Brent has over 20 years’ experience in the corporate finance sector, from mainstream banking through to the specialisation of delivering asset-based and structured lending solutions across the globe.

He has overseen the establishment of finance, banking operations and entry to market in Germany and the US (together with Poland in a ‘previous life’) and as a part of his role continues to look at entry to new markets with Asia very much on the agenda.

Brent has historically managed portfolio, credit, and sales and marketing functions – the latter is his main responsibility at Landsbanki Commercial Finance – as well as being a member of the executive management team and credit committee.

 
Andrew Burrows, Director, Centre for MBO Research
 

Andrew is director of the Centre for Management Buy-out Research (CMBOR), the leading provider of analysis and information on the UK and European buy-out markets.

Prior to joining CMBOR in 1999, Andrew worked in the high-performance composites industry, spending many years as technical and commercial director in several SMEs, including involvement in a management buy-in as a member of the incoming management team.

Andrew is a chartered engineer with an engineering degree from Oxford University and an MBA from Nottingham University Business School.

 
Magnus Goodlad, Chief Operating Officer, IP Group
 

Magnus has worked for IP Group since 2004, following the company’s acquisition of Top Technology Ventures.

He joined Top Technology Ventures, IP Group’s venture capital fund management subsidiary, in 2000 after four and a half years with Slaughter and May at which he practised a wide range of corporate and finance law. Magnus has a first-class degree in law from Oriel College, Oxford.

Tom has advised companies in the UK small- and mid-cap equity capital markets since 1990.

He has been involved in a wide range of transactions for companies on the Official List, TechMARK and AIM as well as for private companies, in a variety of sectors.

He has particular experience of IPOs, secondary fundraisings, public bids, acquisitions and disposals.

Andrew Stoneman is a corporate recovery and turnaround specialist with more than 17 years’ experience.

He has worked on assignments for all the major clearing banks and many international law firms and developed strong relationships with lenders and professional advisers for the quality of his work. In 2001, ‘The Lawyer’ magazine cited Andrew as one of the top 10 corporate recovery professionals in the UK.

Andrew is chairman of the Moores Rowland International UK Business Recovery Group, an Associate of Chartered Accountants, a member of the British Association of Hotel Accountants and a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner.

Ian’s extensive career in corporate banking has been honed through experiences working with Hambros Bank, Benelux-based Fortis and NatWest.

He has spent two years doing business with some of the largest companies around the world on behalf of web-based Bolero.net, heading up its EMEA division and working on the executive team that raised $50 million (£25.5 million) from Apax.

Ian has been with Bank of Ireland for three years, during which time he has helped increase the team’s loan book to over £400 million and grow annual income to over £10 million.
